Urine samples

We are no longer testing urine routinely.

Please do not leave urine samples for testing without completing our 'adults with urinary infection' questionnaire.

Urine samples are not required in many cases to make a diagnosis of a urinary infection and are only useful in other diseases if they are used along with a full history and examination with a GP or nurse practitioner.

Our questionnaire wil tell us whether we need a urine sample from you.

Any samples handed in without a completed questionnaire will be disposed of unless they have been requested by a named GP or nurse practitioner at this practice.
