PRIVATE PRESCRIPTIONS  

The practice continues to receive a significant number of requests for prescribing for patients from private clinicians and clinics. Patients attending private clinics should note that the practice is unable to provide prescriptions to patients at the request of private clinics on the following basis:

1. Where a prescription item is non formulary and not usually prescribed prescribed by the NHS for the condition being treated.

2. Where a medication requires specialist initiation and monitoring and is not within the prescribing remit of the GP.
