The practice offers a range of women's health services including IUD/IUS (Coil) insertion and removal and Implant insertion and removal.

Types of Coils:
Below is some information regarding the hormone coils currently available:
Jaydess - licensed for use for 3 years / small so easier to insert / fewer side effects as low hormone dose / unlikely to stop periods / brown threads & silver ring on USS.
Kyleena - licensed for use for 5 years / moderate size / half hormone dose of Mirena so unlikely to cause amenorrhoea but less irregular bleeding / blue threads & silver ring on USS.
Mirena - licensed for use for 8 years for contraception , 5 years for HRT and HMB. 25-30% chance of amenorrhoea but 50%+ experience irregular bleeding for 6 months.
Levosert / Benilexa - licensed for use for 8 years for contraception. Can be used for 5 years for HRT. Almost identical to Mirena. Blue threads.
Mirena or Levosert coils inserted >45yrs can be kept in until age 55yrs - unless using Mirena for HRT. No contraception required >55yrs.
